Scotties juniors

As you may have seen the young junior section absolutely love their new team kit and goodies!

I can only thank all the members of this brilliant golf club for your generosity and the help you have provided me with by making their journey through golf extra special!!

We plan to increase this sections participation throughout the forthcoming months and we hope to increase our membership numbers. Stay tuned I have some very exciting news about our Young Juniors!!

Moving forward it is now time I do something for the older juniors so they can be equipped ready for the 2020 season!

I am hoping to gain sponsorship for this section and any donations would be greatly appreciated. Under Armour have been outstanding throughout the mini junior kits and they are willing to help sort out a deal with the older junior section. I plan to order them a Polo Shirt and a Zip up Pullover with the Llanwern Crest applied so that they look a step above the rest (which they currently are) when representing the club in team matches and hopefully another trip to Portugal would be a terrific achievement once again! My Goal is to raise the right amount of funds so that we can provide a team kit to this amazing group of boys and girls. I am in the process of contacting local businesses to provide sponsorship and their companies Logo will be on the individual’s kit and will be advertised on my social media platforms along with the Clubs so this is a great opportunity to advertise and network. So if you do have a business or you may know a company willing to sponsor PLEASE HELP we are only asking for a £50 donation.

‘Hi everyone I hope you all have a great 2020 golfing season, I look forward to seeing everyone out on the course when the weather gets better and I also look forward to helping Hoody (Scot) with the Junior Clinics he runs which is a brilliant pathway into golf. Once again see you all soon I cannot wait for the 2020 Junior Season to begin.’

TaylorMade SIM Drivers Unveiled

A lot of talk around the club about the SIM driver these past few weeks and we can finally tell you that they have been revealed!!!
They were first spotted last week in the hands of Jon Rahm and DJ.

SIM stands for Shape In Motion and it gets its name from the asymmetric sole design said to reduce aerodynamic drag in the last three feet of the down swing to maximise club head speed.

Even though you may not see this product in store it doesn’t mean we can get it or fit you with it!!

We are taking PRE ORDERS for this club and we are also booking in custom fittings so if you’re thinking of changing your driver and would like a custom fit with the TaylorMade SIM why not book in with Steve or Scot.

With a new season upon us and plenty of new products arriving in your local pro shop over the next few months (more on this in the coming weeks), now’s the perfect time to wave goodbye to the old tatty golf shoes, the worn-out gloves in a pile at the bottom of your bag, and the golf balls with more scuff marks than dimples!

A bag for life

Following on from our article above, how many things are you trying to jam into your golf bag before every round? For us, a golf bag is so much more than something to lug your clubs around in; instead, it’s an extension of your locker with a place for everything you might need out on the course.

From lucky charms to hand cream, you name it and there’s a good chance a pro has carried it in their bag – well, their caddy to be more precise!
