Three warning signs that you may need a golf lesson!
Last week I wrote about how to set goals for the upcoming season and these past few days I have been busy helping people put plans together to ensure they achieve their 2019 goals. You might however not want to take it that serious but still want to improve. After all who doesn’t want to hit longer, straighter golf shots!!
If you do want to improve in 2019 you have to do something different. After all it was Einstein who famously said,
‘The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over yet expecting different results’
Here are three warning signs you may need a lesson………
- You have a two way miss and don’t have a consistent ball flight
In other words you are missing fairways and greens to the left one minute then missing them to the right the next. It’s impossible to become a better golfer if you are constantly hitting the golf ball in two different directions. You need to understand how to have predictable curvature on your golf ball.
- You have more than 32 putts per round
Putting is where so many shots are lost in golf yet very few golfers actually have a putting lesson. Most touring professionals average less than 30 putts per round. Now, I realise most golfers are not at this level, however, putting makes up the largest percentage of your overall golf score. It is the quickest and easiest way to lower to your scores.
- You have an inconsistent low point to your swing
What does this mean?? Quite simply it means that one minute you are hitting fat shots, the next you are hitting thin strikes and the next you hit it nicely and you are unsure why this is happening (and no it’s not because you lifted your head!!). This is usually the case if you are happier hitting irons off a tee or if the ball is sat up nicely in the semi rough.
If any of the above sound familiar don’t panic, we are here to help!! To help stop these shots which are holding you back contact me now by clicking here and we will be delighted to help you.
