Jack had a slow start on the first 2 days with a few misplaced shots which cost him, but he played well throughout the competition with scores of 72 , 71 , 69 & 69 placing him at 7-under total in 25th position. His golf on Saturday was a joy to watch and I could only applaud him. A great start with the boy wonder, but I feel an even better one around the corner if he keeps preforming the way he does.
I would personally like to thank Kevin for covering my shifts in the shop, without you this wouldn’t be happening and to Steve for letting me go and enjoy an experience of a lifetime, thank you both so much! Next stop Switzerland... bring it on! Following that we are heading to Walton Heath on 4th June for the US Open final qualifying stage. Jack will be playing for a chance to compete in the 2nd Major of the year ‘The US Open 2018’. This would be a great opportunity for yourselves to come and support Jack on home soil. I’m sure he would appreciate some local support. A great field of golfers will also be trying to qualify which include Lee Westwood, Padraig Harrington, Darren Clarke & Eddie Pepperell all vying to go to New York to play at Shinnecock Hills in a few weeks."
