Do you own a rangefinder or measuring device of some kind? If the answer is yes this is a must for you. If you own a measuring device and have never done a bag mapping session before you are still guessing to a certain degree. - What is 'Bag Mapping' and how can it help your game?
Do you know exactly how far you hit your clubs? Do you think you hit your 7 iron 150 yards because everybody hits their 7 iron that far (honest)? You really need to know your carry distances of each club? Knowing this vital information will take countless shots off your score and quickly as well. Knowing how far each club in your bag carries can improve your consistency and confidence when hitting into greens and even off the tee with hazards in the fairway. Some of you may have heard of this before but often wondered how do you do it. Trying to do it on the range isn't always great as the balls are not very often the same compression you play with and often they don't fly as far and it is difficult to tell exactly where they are landing and at what distance. Doing it on the course is again difficult as you have the wind, slope and bounce to factor in; yes the pin could be 120 yards away and your 9 iron has finished pin high, but in actual fact that club could have pitched at a distance of 101 yards and rolled out the rest. This is ok as long as you don't have any trouble in front of the green. So how do you do it then? Psssttt there’s a world class facility here at Llanwern... The Golf Theatre! It takes about 45 mins to complete a full bag mapping and we will email you the comprehensive report which also highlights your shot shape tendency, dispersion patterns and your miss tendency. If you have paid £100s of pounds on a range finder this is a must for you!
