Scottie’s Rogue review No doubt about it the Big Bertha Epic drivers were seriously impressive so when Callaway were claiming that the Rogue was even better I was extremely keen and eager to find out what has changed and how can they improve your golf game.
So what have Callaway done differently?
They have taken the revolutionary technologies that made the Epic the bestselling driver on the market in 2017 and supercharged them to give you incredible ball speed and forgiveness with Rogue! Firstly there are 3 head models that the Rogue Family offer these are: Standard, Sub Zero and Draw option. The Sub Zero is an extremely low-spinning tour level driver head, although these are designed for tour players it is so forgiving and easy to hit, this type of driver head targets players who are seeking to lower their spin rates and also amateurs who have a very high ball flight. The Rogue draw driver targets golfers who are always fighting the dreaded slice and no club is more prone to slicing than the driver, we’ve all been there while were praying on the first tee in a medal round … please don’t go right!!! So how does this happen? Well Callaway inserted a 5 gram screw in the heel area of the club and substantial internal weighting around the heel which moves the Centre of Gravity inward, this enhances gear effect on open faced impacts to minimize slice-spin or to promote draw-spin!
