Ladies go all out for Christmas 

The ladies have been particularly busy these last couple of weeks hosting events, raising money and entertaining everybody along the way. 

Last week they hosted their Christmas bazzarr in the clubhouse and raised an incredible £803 for Ty Hafan. 

Also £376 went into the office for visitor green fees and Jo Waite raised an amazing £75 from the sale of her plants which is going towards the Welsh Team Fund. 

A fantastic effort everybody, really well done.

Pictured here smiling with his recent purchase of a brand news set of Callaway irons is long time Llanwern member and friend of the shop Tony 'The Silver Fox' Horton!! He is smiling because he had 42 points on his very first outing with them. 

The X Series Irons are a great club and he said 'The feel off the face is fantastic and they have given me higher ball flight with an extra ten yards in distance', happy days!!

We recently had this club given to us to re-shaft!! 

When we finally managed to remove the shaft this is what we discovered!! 

I had to admire the ingenuity of the attempt but would not advise this type of DIY repair. After an initial laugh we realised potentially how dangerous this could have been had the head come unscrewed!
