The Annual Foremost Awards - 'Breakthrough Pro of the Year 2016'
Monday and Tuesday this week saw myself and Scot take a trip to the MK Dons Stadium in Milton Keynes for the Annual Foremost Awards Ceremony and two day conference.
Wow, what can I say, what a great two days we had (and one very late night!!)
Winning the Breakthrough Pro of the Year in the country was an amazing experience, one that I won't forget in a hurry. I feel extremely lucky and very humbled to win such an award when Foremost have over 950 PGA Pros who all do such a fantastic job.
Winning this award has been a collective team effort and without the help and support of my main man Scottie and recent recruit Rhiannon I know this would not have been possible so thank you both. I would also like to thank each and every one of our incredible members, clients and customers who support us fantastically and have helped us win this title.
I thought that with so many of our members, lesson clients and club teams winning so many events Locally, Nationally and Internationally this year I felt a little bit left out and thought I would get involved and win something too!!!
It truly has been an incredible year of successes for the club.
The Gala dinner was a great experience to be involved in with video messages from Henrik Stenson (click here to see a clip), Thomas Pieters and many more awards being presented (click here) made it a very special occasion to be part of. Andrew Cotter from Sky Sports hosted the evening fantastically and the after dinner speaker was Welsh football legend Dean Saunders.
It was a great night, although the copious amounts of free red wine and a 3am bedtime made for an interesting few seminars the following morning.
Big announcement next week -
'The Golf Theatre', coming very soon
Watch this space next week for a brand new state of the art entertainment, coaching and custom fitting facility opening at Llanwern Golf Club...stay tuned!
All about the Glamour
Being a golf pro and club manager isn't always as it seems!
Last weekand Julian and I continued in our quest to make the golf club as good as we can possibly make it.
We gave a room a makeover to try to provide the member and visitor with the best possible customer experience every time you visit.
Course Improvements - Winter Tees
Gareth, Scott, Richie and Keenan have been hard at it this past couple of weeks building the best possible 4G winter tees.
The ones pictured are on the 9th and 4th. We hope you enjoy playing off these fantastic new surfaces.
Winter Leagues Updates
We have recently been very lucky with the weather on a Sunday morning seeing the Cocks and the PM League being played in some glorious weather. Long may this continue.
