Saturday Stableford & Presentation Night
This Saturday is the Annual Presentation night. The evening will start at 7.30pm and all winnners are encouraged to attend to help make the evening a big success. 2016 has been an incredible year for Llanwern Golf Club both for the teams and individuals. Success has been achieved at all levels and in all age categories from local to national, even to the global stagel. Next week we have a special newsletter edition highlighting the many incredible achievements made in 2016.
This year is the first year the Juniors Presentation evening will be held on a different date. When the date for the Juniors has been announced we will let you know.
On Saturday a Stableford has been arranged (£2 entry) and can be entered via the computer as usual. If you would like to play but don't know how to enter please call us in the shop and we will be happy to help.
Please be aware the Winter Wheel only policy for electric trolleys will come into effect from the 1st November this year. We can supply winter wheels for any make of electric trolley so please call us if you need any information on this matter.
Last week we hosted a Callaway Fitting Day which was a resounding success. The day was fully booked with lots of happy customers leaving with new orders of clubs that delivered big improvements to their games. The brand new Fusion range of woods and irons proved particularly popular with clients.

It's been a busy and successful week in the studio coaching.
Lots of great improvements have been made by many of my awesome clients.
A stand out victory was from a fellow PGA Professional I am fortunate enough to coach Kristian Crane who recorded his maiden Professional win in a West Region Pro Am event last week.
Well done Kristian I am proud of you and you deserve it for the hard work you put in.
I feel very lucky and honoured to have coached you for the past several ye ars and hopefully this is the first of many Professional victories.

There are many Health Benefits associated with Golf. Everyone knows walking on a golf course is considered good exercise, but not everyone knows the vast amount of health benefits that are associated with it. The main key benefits include; improved life expectancy, physical and mental health benefits. There are many chronic diseases that golf is expected to help decrease such as type 2 diabetes, heart attacks, colon and breast cancer and many more.
The current research shows that playing golf has positives impacts on cholesterol, body composition, metabolism and longevity. Researchers based at the University of Edinburgh have conducted the largest comprehensive study of golf and health with results published in The British Journal of Sports Medicine. A new project has been launched with the support of some of the worlds finest golfers such as; Aaron Baddeley (Australia), Annika Sorenstam (Sweden), Brooke Henderson (Canada), Gary Player (South Africa), Padraig Harrington (Ireland), Ryann O'Toole (USA), So Yeon Ryu (South Korea), and Zach Johnson (USA). The World Golf Foundation is a non-profit organisation which develops and supports initiatives that can impact lives throughout the game of golf such as the Golf & Health Project.
