Sponsor a Junior is back!
Following on from last year's incredibly successful initiative, we are running it again in 2016. Our Junior Organiser Paul White is doing a fantastic job and hopefully we can all get behind him and support the Juniors like last year.
For £30 we would like to buy all juniors a T-shirt or Jumper proudly displaying your name as their own personal Sponsor on the sleeve!! They will be wearing them during team matches, Open Days or any other occasions they are representing Llanwern.
Your sponsored Junior will also be representing you throughout the year in the Junior Order of Merit. The winner of the Junior Order of Merit will win back their Sponsor the £30 invested in bar or Pro Shop vouchers.
This really is a fantastic scheme to help show our support to the future of the club. Please see myself, Scott or Paul White if you are interested in sponsoring a junior.
Be quick however as sponsorships opportunities will not last long.

Bunkers
Despite experiencing the worst weather the country has seen in over 50 years Gareth and his team have been making the most of the rare breaks in the weather.
They have been hard at it and have been making good progress on the winter bunker program as shown in the images below.
Next week we will have an update for you on the tree replanting program.
Product Testers
I would like to say how overwhelmed I was with the response I received for the product testers. The new ranges of clubs out this year are certainly getting a lot of interest and from the ones I have tested I can hopefully say you are not going to be disappointed.
The 3 members that were drawn out were:
1) Steve (you're never going to be a model no matter how sexy you pose!!)Dennis 2) Mike (What have you got on your head!!) Mahoney 3) Nathan (now barred from the New Inn!!) Doherty
(Couldn't find an embarrassing picture of Nathan Sorry folks)
Proposed Idea for 18th
Did anybody watch the Phoenix Open last weekend. The Waste Management sponsored event really has captured the public's attention with their incredible stadium inspired 16th hole. I think it is great to see sponsors and tournament organisers thinking outside the box to help promote the game at a time when participation levels are decreasing.
I propose we introduce this to the 18th during the Derek Pugh, Club Championship weekend! Member Dave Harrhy has declared his scaffolding company Rushar would be honoured to erect the stands! Make Golf FUN and people will come!!!
If you have enjoyed reading this newsletter and you have missed any previous editions you can enjoy them all here. This link is most definitely one for the procrastinators out there looking to kill some time in work! Click here.
Enjoy the rest of the newsletter and have a great weekend. Steve and the shop team.
