Welcome to a new edition of our newsletter, we hope you enjoy it.
Well after a slight reprieve last week from the rain it has returned in full gusto. I'm wishing now that I had gone with Jack and Owen to Australia for 5 weeks!!!
As not much golf has been played in this country recently I thought I would bring you up to speed with some PGA Tour news if you haven't been watching.
A lot has been spoken recently of the 'big three' at the top of our game and how they're going to be battling it out for years to come, but has someone else gate-crashed the party? 27-year-old Rickie Fowler fired himself to fourth in the world rankings after producing some magical golf to claim the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship last weekend. It seems like he's been around for a long time now, but being in his mid-20s he is still just a young pup with numerous victories and vast experience behind him. Watch out Jordan, Jason and Rory!
It's always nice to receive feedback (positive feedback is always nicer!!) Had a text this week from an aspiring Tour Pro I coach who is escaping this weather with some warm weather practice in Portugal this week.
"Hola! Coma estas!!!,
Yeah seems to be getting there thanks mate. Practice plus 9 holes this morning. Unfortunately short game was a bit rusty, but it's going to be! The long game this morning though was I reckon the best it has ever been. Played the tightest 9 holes plus hit 7/7 fairways and 8/9 greens. 1 poor iron shot being too aggressive to try to make birdie and missed the green short side. Only shot one under but so pleased with the shots I hit. It could have easily been 5 or 6 under. Also played the best par 5 ever!!! 587 yards and tighter than anything ive ever seen. Hit driver, 3 wood to 25 feet..... happy days.
Thanks for your help Rich"

G Series
I was lucky enough this week to test the brand new wood and hybrid range from PING. Following on from their industry leading G30 range was always going to be a tough ask but I think they have done it with the beautiful new G Series. Not only are they absolutely fantastic looking clubs they really perform. I won't say too much more as I will leave that to the product testers. To find out more about the clubs please click here.

Although the rain recently has been nothing short of biblical Gareth and the team have been hard at work.
Obviously the weather has been impacting their progress however they have been hard at it with the bunker renovations when the weather has allowed.
Seniors Captain
I would like to introduce you to the Clubs New Senior Captain, Mr Barrie Williams. Barrie will be taking the reins from Chris Doody, who is currently the Club Vice Captain (soon to be Club Captain).
I would like to take this opportunity to wish Barrie the best of luck for the coming season and thank Chris for his tireless efforts in 2015 for doing such a great job running the Seniors.

Lads on Tour Down Under
After a fantastic final round 67 last week for Jack in the Lake Macquarie Amateur to finish tied 9th, the boys now head to their final tournament the New South Wales Amateur.
This tournament consists of a 3 day 72 hole stroke play medal with a top 60 cut after the first 36 holes. The leading 32 players then progress to the Championship Matchplay stage.
The boys are in great position after the first round both shooting 2 under leaving them well placed in joint 11th. You can follow their progress on twitter @Golfnsw
After last weeks fantastic performance Jack has leapfrogged into 336th place in the World Amateur rankings (up 145 places). Keep it going boys, the club are very proud.
